Tina is one of the founders, clinical directors, and visionary leaders at Attune Therapy Centre. She is a registered clinical counsellor, R.C.C who believes every one of us have a set of strengths, which can lead to positive change and can help overcome challenges.

ABOUT TINA

 

I hold an M.A. in Clinical Counselling from Adler University; and a B.A. with a major in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, BC. I am Registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and practice as a clinical counsellor, RCC. 

 

I am experienced in providing professional psychotherapy and counselling to adults, children, couples, parents, and families. My practice is inspired by positive psychology and I see the strengths in people. With my empowering and strength-based approach, I have helped many individuals, parents, couples, and families!

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I implement an integrative approach to psychotherapy, based on my client’s unique needs; ranging from: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Structural Family Therapy (SFT), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Play Therapy (PT), Attachment-based Therapy, Mindfulness-Based cognitive therapy (MBCT), Narrative Therapy, Relational, Strength-Based.

I have completed advanced training in Psycho-Sensory Interventions and Trauma-Informed Practice, Trauma-informed care (TIC), Domestic Violence Response based training, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Feedback informed treatment (FIT),  Motivational interviewing, Core addiction practice (CAP), Domestic violence training, The heart and soul of mental health and addiction (MHA), Distress services/Crisis intervention, PRISM training (LGBTQ2S), Suicide Risk Assessment and Intervention.

I believe every one of us have a set of strengths, which can lead to positive change and help overcome challenges! I provide counselling in English and Farsi (Persian). With my empowering and Strength Based Approach I have helped many individuals, parents, couples, and families.
