Katayoon Osati, PhD., CCC

I bring over 20 years of experience as a clinical psychologist, helping individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges with care and evidence-based approaches. My focus includes relationships, anxiety, grief, divorce, and cultural adjustment, with specialized training in therapies like CBT, EMDR, and Gottman Method.

My Story

I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Iran and bring over 20 years of professional experience, including more than 15 years of specialized psychotherapy practice. I am a licensed practitioner in Iran and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

My training and expertise span a range of approaches, including CBT, REBT, EFT, ISTDP, EMDR, diagnostic interviewing, and psychological testing. I also hold certifications in Gottman Couples Therapy, Sex Therapy, LGBTQ+ Sexual Health, Neurofeedback, and Art Therapy.

In addition to clinical work, I have taught as a university lecturer in Iran, trained professionals in the DISC personality model, and been recognized as an award-winning researcher at international conferences.

I work with individuals, couples, and families, with areas of focus that include pre- and post-marital counseling, family therapy, immigration and cultural adjustment, anxiety disorders, divorce, grief, sex therapy, and innovative interventions such as art-based and psychedelic-assisted approaches.

I am committed to evidence-based, integrative, and culturally sensitive care, and I am passionate about supporting diverse populations in both Iran and Canada
