Child and
Youth Counselling

Child-centered approach. Counselling for children and youth can consist of a range of therapeutic techniques such as play therapy, expressive art therapy, and youth counselling with an emphasis on child-centered approach.
-
Child and youth therapy aims to address a wide range of issues that young individuals may face, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioural difficulties, self-esteem issues, and family conflicts. Therapists utilize age-appropriate interventions and modalities tailored to the unique needs of each child or adolescent. These can include play therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), art therapy, family therapy, and more.
-
It is important to note that child and youth therapy is typically conducted in collaboration with parent/parents or caregiver/s. Involving families in the therapy process can facilitate better understanding, communication, and support within the child's immediate environment.
